DIVISIONS
The 2025 North Star Classic Softball tournament will use 2024 iPride Softball guidelines for team and player rating caps*.
iPride Softball
- A Division – There is no maximum team or individual player rating for the A division. No team rated lower than 170 is allowed to play in the A division, except any B team granted eligibility in or required to move to A Division under the no-repeat rule of this organization shall be exempt from this minimum rating requirement.
- B Division – All teams rated 180 or lower; no players rated over 20 are allowed on a B division team.
- C Division: All teams rated 140 or lower; no players rated above a 15.
- D Division: All teams rated 110 or lower; no players rated above a 12.
- Open E Division: All teams rated 75 or lower; no players rated above an 8.
- Legends C: All teams rated 140 or lower; no players rated above a 15. Players must be 50 or older, or turn 50 in the 2024 calendar year to play on a Legends team.
- Legends D: All teams rated 110 or lower; no players rated above a 12. Players must be 50 or older, or turn 50 in the 2024 calendar year to play on a Legends team.
*Final division breakdown and team assignments are at the discretion of the tournament committee based on the number of teams registered and to create parity where possible.
We will use the most recent ratings that your league has submitted to iPride or ASANA when verifying rosters.
REGISTRATION
RATINGS
We will follow the 2024 iPride Player rating guidelines. Submit 2024 player ratings when completing official team roster.
ROSTERS
The 2024 tournament will utilize Google spreadsheet for all rosters. Coaches will be sent a unique roster form in February.
Rosters will lock Friday, May 9th, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
Please complete by this date so we can verify players' NAGAAA or ASANA ratings.
Rules
North Star Classic will abide by USA Softball rules, except as modified in the North Star Classic Tournament Rules.

FIELD LOCATIONS
All North Star Classic games are conveniently located in Eagan, MN, at two separate field complexes. Each complex is only a 25-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis, and only a 5-minute drive between complexes.
